St.Barth’s was insane, too good to be true.

We met some good people and had some seriously great times. I can’t wait to get back down there and play again. Here’s some pics Al took:

Right when I got back I headed out to LA, and saw some friends and had a meeting or two for the new release. I’m excited about it. The problem with recording something is that you’re never totally satisfied with it, and the more time between the musical completion and the release, the more times you are tempted to listen to it, and the more times you pick it apart. You get the picture, it’s a little rough. But nonetheless, I’m still happy with it, and hope you like it too, once you hear it.

I’m back in New York now, and today is the first non-rainy day since I’ve been back. Makes one feel a little sleepy after LA and St.Barth’s. Sun overload.

I’ve been having a hard time writing, a hard time finishing some ideas that have been floating around in my head and in my heart the last couple of months, but finally, since I got back from LA two days ago, it’s been gushing out. It’s annoying how creativity works like that. Although, I suppose if you could control it and bottle it down and package it up better, it wouldn’t have the same force.

I’m looking forward to the EP coming out and to hearing everyone’s thoughts. In the meantime I’ve got lots of work to do. I better go try to finish this song.

Peace.
